Petite soirée resto avec Sue et Jim

Hier a été une journée de 'touriste' à visiter la ville de Puerto Plata avec Louise une Québécois qui réside ici. Quelle belle journée!  Premier arrêt:  le téléférique de  Loma Isabel de Torres, montagne de  800 mètres et tout en haut, il y a un restaurant, jardins et une boutique de 'regalos' bien sur! La vue était magnifique.  Deuxième arrêt:  pointe de l'île dans le parc à la forteresse de San Felipe, quelques photos ensuite centre-ville de Puerto Plata!  Beaucoup de mobilettes avec 2 à 4 passagers! Du bruit et de la musique. Cool! Pour le lunch, Louise nous a emmener à la campagne à Maimon ou on choisi soi-même son poisson qu'on peut déguster 15 minutes plus tard.....DÉLICIEUX!  Pour un total de 15$ U.S.:  1 poisson chaque, légumes et rafraîchissements.  Louise nous informait que nous aurions payé le triple à Puerto Plata. Dernier arrêt:  Sirena, type Walmart....petite épicerie et nous retournons à la maison, Carpathia bien sur.  Quelle belle journée.  A notre retour, Sue et Jim (PipeDream) ont rencontrés Louise afin de planifier une sortie dans les prochains jours.  Elle est une guide sans pareil!  Après un 5 à 7, nous sommes allés au resto AHORA sur la plage, très belle vue, bonne bouffe et une petite 'shot' de Mama Guana!  La journée s'est terminé en rire et une marche pour retourner à la marina.

Yesterday was a 'tourist' day, visiting Puerto Plata with Louise from Québec city and has been living in Puerto Plata for a year.  What a nice day!  First stop the funucular at Loma Isabel de Torres, the mountain is 2,700 feet high and on top you could find a restaurant, garder and a 'regalo' shop of course.  The view was spectacular, second stop San Felipe forteress a few pictures and next downtown Puerto Plata, mopeds with 2 to 4 passengers, noise and music, cool!  For lunch Louise took us to Maimon, outside the city, we had fresh fish which you pick, sides and drinks, all of this cost 15$ U.S.!  We would of payed 3 times that price in Puerto Plata. last stop, Sirena..type of Walmart, groceries and we're heading back home to Carpathia.  We introduced Louise to Sue and Jim for visiting the island.

After a happy hour with Sue and Jim we headed out for supper at Ahora, a fine restaurant on the beach, food is very good and they have Mama guana, so shots for all of us. The beautiful day ended in laughter and we walked back to the marina.
